Bring On A New Boss

After witnessing yesterday's game, I believe that the time is right for the King (Kenny) to step down and allow a new manager to step in. The team has everything right, but the killer instinct. Well, that is the same issue in majority of the games this season.

KD is a respectful icon for the club. He has been a loyal servant for many years; as a player and a manager as well. He was one of the best strikers in club's history. He was also (back then) one of the most successful manager in the club history. But maybe, the time has passed. He has lost his magic touch.

Since the start of 2012, the club has played 20 times in all domestic competitions. The record shown that a tally of 7 wins, 5 draws and 8 losts. Most of the more positive results were from the domestic cup competitions which also see the Reds won the League cup and are thru to the semi-finals of the FA Cup against local rival, Everton. Let's now focus on the EPL outcomes since the New Year. The Reds only managed to get a tally of 9 points from a possible 39 points, that is from 2 wins, 3 draws and a shocking 8 losts!!! 8 lost!!! What?? That's a 62% lost percentage. For a club as big as Liverpool that is surely a shameful statistics.

Something needs to be done to avoid more slumps and to restore the club's pride and dignity. The club has been a laughing stock in recent months. This is nowhere near to our reputation and potential.

I would like to see a new manager introduced to replace KD. Not because he is no good but simply because everything is not right at the moment and maybe it is not meant for him anymore. Bring in a new manager to lift up the players morale.

Personally I don't think that Steward Downing, Charlie Adam and Andy Carrol are bad signings. Downing and Adam have proven their credentials at previous clubs and are both full-international players. Suarez should be scoring more goals (at the very least) but the tactics and gameplay must support him. In other words, there is still room for improvement. A new manager plus at least 2 or 3 new signings may well be the ingredient needed to restore the club to its rightful position in EPL and Europe.
